WELLMED VACCINE CENTERS
WellMed is re-opening their hotline this Saturday for residents to schedule COVID-19 vaccine appointments. The goal is to schedule appointments for 9,000 eligible residents for the week beginning Monday, January 18. Please be patient and remember it may take some several attempts before you are connected and able to schedule an appointment.
People who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine per the state’s guidelines for Phase 1a and 1b will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the WellMed/Elvira Cisneros Senior Community Center or the Alicia Treviño López Senior Community Center by calling (833) 968-1745.
YOU WILL HAVE TO TRY MULTIPLE TIMES.

Phase 1A includes frontline healthcare workers and residents at long-term care facilities.
Phase 1B includes people over 65 or people 16 or older with a chronic medical condition that puts them at increased risk for severe illness from COVID 19 are currently eligible.
Please be patient and rest assured that additional sites and a continuous supply of COVID-19 vaccines is expected.

VACCINES FOR VETERANS
VA is offering COVID-19 vaccinations only on Saturdays; enrolled Veterans do not need to schedule an appointment. They may present as a walk-in on the following Saturdays:
- Saturday, January 23, 2021 - Veterans 65 years of age and older.
Enrolled Veterans may obtain their vaccination at any of the following locations:
Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital
Vaccination Clinic, 1st floor
7400 Merton Minter Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78229
9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Frank M. Tejeda Outpatient Clinic
Vaccination Clinic, 1st floor
5788 Eckert Rd., San Antonio, TX 78240
9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
ID required in order to verify enrollment and scheduling for the second dose (approximately 21 days after the first). Both vaccines are required for maximum efficacy. The vaccinations are only for enrolled Veterans and does not include caregivers and family members.
Veterans are encouraged to plan accordingly for an extended wait time depending on how busy the clinics will be.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR THOSE WITH MEDICAL BACKGROUND
AND WILLINGNESS TO VOLUNTEER
Alamo Area Medical Reserve Corps. is looking for volunteers to help with the mass vaccination clinic at the Alamodome.
All volunteers that sign up to assist are eligible to receive the vaccine at the end of their shift.
- Those volunteering in a Licensed Medical Professional (Vaccinator/Drawer) role, MUST have a valid/current Texas License and be able to identify your credentials with an ID Badge.
- Please DO NOT sign up in the Vaccinator/Drawer role if you are not a Licensed Medical Professional AND able to administer a vaccine.
- All Volunteers MUST be over the age of 18 & wear a Face Covering. Please dress comfortably. Water will be provided, please bring lunch and/or snack.
