The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Southwest Council
has two different types of volunteers - Good Samaritans and Vincentians.
Good Samaritan volunteers work from our SVdP staff. Good Samaritians assist us collect and sort fans for Project Cool, sort and pre-package food to distribute to families in need, organize food drives and third party events to bring in critically needed items, assist in St. Vinny's Bistro to cook and serve food to homeless individuals, and assist with special projects.
Vincentian Volunteers are parish-based volunteers. Vincentians conduct Home Visits (in-person and virtual). During their visit, Vincentians are able to asses the needs of our friends and refer them to one or all of our programs.
